Easy POS Docs - Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 August 2026
Please read these terms carefully before installing or using Easy POS. See also our Privacy Policy, which describes how the App handles data.
1. Definitions
- "App" or "Easy POS" means the Easy POS software, distributed as an installable Frappe app.
- "Publisher", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the maintainers of Easy POS.
- "You" or "your business" means the person or organization installing and operating the App on their own Frappe/ERPNext site.
- "Your Site" means the Frappe/ERPNext instance — self-hosted or on a hosting provider of your choice — on which you install and run the App.
- "End Customer" means a customer of your business whose data (e.g. name, contact details) is entered into the App during a sale.
2. Acceptance of terms
By installing, accessing, or using Easy POS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.
3. What Easy POS is
Easy POS is software distributed under the MIT License (see License) that runs on Your Site — it is not a hosted service operated by the Publisher, and installing it does not create an account with us. All data you create or process through the App (Customers, Sales Invoices, Loyalty Program records, pricing, and so on) is stored on, and remains under the control of, Your Site's own infrastructure and database.
4. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for Your Site's security, backups, and compliance obligations (tax, data protection, consumer protection, etc.) applicable to your business and jurisdiction.
- You are responsible for configuring and securing any third-party services you connect (e.g. a payment gateway's live API keys, an email/SMS provider used for receipt delivery).
- You are responsible for the accuracy of data entered into the App by you, your staff, or your cashiers.
- You must not use the App for any unlawful purpose, and must not attempt to circumvent its licensing terms.
5. Third-party services
Certain features integrate with third-party services you configure yourself, for example:
- Razorpay (payment gateway checkout) — governed by Razorpay's own terms once you supply your account credentials.
- Your Site's configured email/SMS gateway (used for optional receipt delivery).
The Publisher is not a party to your agreements with these third parties, and is not responsible for their availability, pricing, or handling of data you route through them.
6. Intellectual property
Easy POS's source code is licensed to you under the MIT License (see License), which governs your rights to use, copy, modify, and redistribute it. These Terms do not grant any additional rights beyond the License, and do not restrict any right the License already grants you.
7. No warranty
The App is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, to the extent permitted by the MIT License terms that govern the software itself.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Publisher shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App, including but not limited to lost sales, lost data, or business interruption.
9. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from Your Site. These Terms survive termination to the extent they concern past use of the App.
10. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time; continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to the support email listed in the App's Marketplace listing.
